About Us
  • We are called the Stay Original Company. We own 5 boutique hotels in the West Country, one is a project and 4 are operational. Our plan is to grow over the next 5 years to 10-15 sites all in or around the West Country.
  • Timbrell’s Yard was our 3rd site and the biggest of our operations to date. It has 17 letting rooms and a 150 cover restaurant. We focus on using good local produce, provenance is very important to us and we’re not just saying that!
  • The kitchen teams are led by Tom Blake, formerly of River Cottage.

Requirements of a Chef de Partie
  • At least a years’ experience as a chef in a fresh food kitchen.
  • Some basic seasonal food knowledge.
  • Passion for food. We aren’t a swirls and foams sort of place but we do serve excellent quality and tasty English fare.
 Responsibilities of a Chef de Partie
  • Running a section of the kitchen without supervision
  • Assisting in the development of commis chef & apprentices
  • Good standards of food hygiene
