In one of the most challenging industries, where there are so many things to get right, having happy and motivated people is the top priority. The hospitality business is demanding but we go all out to ensure our people are properly rewarded and enjoy their work.

We take a long-term view on building a successful reputation locally and further afield and we want the team to think the same way. It’s why we always buy the freehold of our pubs and spend a lot of time and money on the design of the buildings and equipment.

We don’t always get it right first time around, so we’re ready to change things if we discover a better way.

Each pub is a different business and must have a unique character, however they all share some important traits which can be summed up with two words – Simple & Excellent.

Our food is fresh and local. Whilst this is a common claim, we work really hard to make it happen. Our menus change constantly as we go through the seasons and we pride ourselves on surprising guests with just how delicious fresh local food can be. We apply the same philosophy to our beer and cider too, promoting the best the region can offer.
