Our ambition is not driven by taking shortcuts, each inn has to find a good way to settle into its community and that takes time and thought.

We take the long-term view and we want the team to think the same way, it’s why we always buy the freehold of our pubs and spend a lot of time and money on the design of the buildings and equipment.

We don’t always get it right first time around, so we’re ready to change things if we discover a better way.

Each business is a living experiment and we’re looking for you to nurture and develop it. We definitely don’t like the ‘one size fits all’ approach and there is no room for a chain mentality here.

Each pub is a different business and must have a unique character, however they all share some important traits.

All our food is fresh and local. Whilst this is a common claim, we work really hard to make it happen.

Our menus change constantly as we go through the seasons and we pride ourselves on surprising guests with just how delicious fresh local food can be.

We apply the same philosophy to our beer and cider too, promoting the best the region can offer.

Naturally, our service is simple and excellent too.
